Post Procedure Care
- Patients should be provided with instructions related to the procedure they received in the department when the procedure has been completed. These instructions should inform patients of what normal and abnormal after effects of the procedure are, and if needed, when to consult a physician.
- Patients should not be discharged after their invasive procedure has been completed, until a healthcare provider has deemed it appropriate to do so.
