    • Linearity describes the accuracy of a CT number compared to the linear attenuation coefficient of the object that was imaged.
    • Linearity is measured through the use of a CT phantom that contains several materials with different densities with specific CT numbers.
      • The phantom is imaged and ROI measurements are taken on the CT image to determine if the measured CT number for the different materials is appropriate.
